What are some solutions to combat autumn fatigue?

Many people feel tired and depressed for no apparent reason with the arrival of autumn. They are said to suffer from autumn fatigue, which manifests as low spirits accompanied by a general feeling of weariness. It is not uncommon for the person to also experience difficulty falling asleep. Generally, this form of fatigue manifests itself on a mental, physical, and intellectual level. Do you think you are suffering from autumn fatigue? Here are some solutions to effectively combat it.

What are some solutions to combat autumn fatigue?

Meeting your sleep needs

If you have an uncomfortable and aging mattress, now is the perfect time to replace it and get a good night’s sleep.

Are you having trouble waking up with the changing seasons? Are you tired and drowsy? You need to establish a regular sleep schedule immediately to combat this. While the arrival of autumn might give you an extra hour of sleep, this change will disrupt your biological clock. To prevent autumn fatigue caused by these sleep disturbances, you should:

  • Set a fixed time for getting up and going to bed
  • Schedule a half-hour nap every day.
  • Aim for a sleep duration of between 7 and 9 hours

In addition to equipping your bedding with a comfortable mattress for quality sleep, you can drink a linden infusion in the evening to help you fall asleep.

Stay active

Whether you’re suffering from temporary fatigue or autumn fatigue, it’s important to avoid a sedentary lifestyle. Since autumn tends to bring a drop in energy, simply counteract this by engaging in some outdoor physical activity. If you have the opportunity to go to the ocean, the sea air will boost the energy you’ve been depleting due to the change of season. However, don’t overdo it with exercise, as this could exacerbate the feeling of fatigue. After your workout, take a nice warm shower and go to bed for a restful sleep.

Take a course of vitamins and minerals

One way to combat autumn fatigue is to take a course of vitamins and minerals. Although it’s possible to take them when the first signs of fatigue appear, it’s best to take them before autumn arrives.

It’s wiser to get your fill of minerals and vitamins by choosing foods that naturally contain them. You should therefore favor fruits, royal jelly, fish, nuts, and seasonal vegetables.

You can combine such a diet with dietary supplements rich in vitamin C, B and magnesium.

Stay in tune with your body

Autumn generally brings a loss of energy and causes fatigue. In addition to the recommendations mentioned earlier, it’s essential to listen to your body. It will send you signals, and you’ll quickly realize that your body needs stimulation. To achieve this, you should move regularly to encourage the production and release of endorphins.

Try running or brisk walking, which have the advantage of strengthening your immune system and eliminating toxins from your body.

Combating autumn fatigue with plants and essential oils

Humans have always used plants to heal their bodies. Autumn fatigue can also be treated with herbal medicine. For physical fatigue caused by the changing seasons, you can opt for stimulating plants like ginger or ginseng. Sage is a good choice for combating mental fatigue.

Essential oils can help you combat seasonal fatigue. Black spruce essential oil, for example, is recommended for general fatigue. Mix it with a carrier oil and apply it as a massage. Pay particular attention to the adrenal gland area (on the back, above the kidneys).

If you don’t particularly enjoy massages, try a course of treatment with peppermint essential oil. Mix it with honey before swallowing. Take it in the morning and at midday for at least 7 days.
