Gym-boxing is not part of martial arts in itself, it can be considered a sport that brings together both boxing techniques and cardio with the aim of repeating them several times in order to master them. It should be remembered that classic boxing has existed since the 17th century in different forms such as French boxing, American boxing, Thai boxing, and kickboxing.

This discipline initially only allowed fists, but very quickly, kicks were integrated during one-on-one fights. Nowadays, Gym-boxing was born to provide a solution to those who want to find a good rhythm of life because, precisely, most people lack leisure, distractions, and sports.
The benefits of Gym-boxing
Gym-boxing is a discipline that can be classified as complete because it can be adapted to any age and to any person, man or woman. It takes up the techniques of boxing by using feet and fists, but not using blows. It aims to improve health, cardio and endurance as well as to regain good physical shape.
It is therefore about making soft and flexible repetitive movements and also mastering gestures that can serve at the same time as self-defense techniques and gain self-confidence. In addition, it is the kind of sport that could help athletes feel good about themselves, to be able to release their emotion and happiness and to manage their stress because precisely, it helps them to breathe, to move and to surpass themselves.
Moreover, Gym-boxing is specially made for women since most of them want to burn calories. This is why it is also called fitness boxing. In short, this sport has positive consequences both physically and mentally.
Gym-boxing classes
One of the most renowned gyms in France called “Les arts martiaux Bastille” offers Gym-boxing, fit-boxing, or cardio-boxing classes, every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday with the intervention of coach Julien who is a specialist in foot-fist boxing.
The room is open to everyone, men or women, adults or children, without the need for knowledge of martial arts or special physical conditions. The session lasts one hour, which normally takes place from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. It begins with a warm-up, then continues with muscle strengthening workshops.
Then, we practice work that uses foot-fist techniques without contact with opponents. And finally, we set aside each time a stretching time to finish the training. It should be noted that regular training can guarantee a dynamic state of mind and real personal development. In addition, the general public is increasingly attracted to this modernized version of boxing that meets both the sporting and mental needs of everyone.
